Terms of Service
Last Updated: 7/18/2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Sanctuary ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.
2. Description of Service
Sanctuary is an AI-powered operating system and community engagement tool designed for clergy and ministry leaders. It assists in sermon preparation, curriculum building, digital congregation management, and media distribution. The Service is provided "as is" and is intended to assist, not replace, pastoral judgment.
3. Digital Congregation & Mobile App Integration
The Service allows leaders to create a "Digital Congregation" to interact with members via the Sanctuary mobile app.
- Data Controller: When utilizing the congregation features, you act as the Data Controller for your members' information, and Sanctuary acts as the Data Processor.
- Privacy Expectations: You agree to treat any anonymized prayer requests, counseling notes, or member analytics provided through the app with strict pastoral confidentiality.
- Push Notifications: You agree not to abuse the push notification system to send spam, solicitations, or overly frequent messages to your congregation.
4. User Content & Video Media
You are solely responsible for all sermons, text, audio, and video content you upload, post, or broadcast via the Service.
- Ownership: You retain full ownership of the original content you create or upload to Sanctuary.
- Media Restrictions: You agree not to upload or broadcast copyrighted video or audio material for which you do not hold the rights. Sanctuary reserves the right to immediately remove any media that violates copyright law or our acceptable use policy.
- Acceptable Use: You agree not to use the Service to generate, host, or distribute hate speech, illegal content, sexually explicit material, or content that promotes violence or discrimination.
5. AI Generation & Output
You are granted full commercial rights to any text or curriculum generated by the AI for your account, subject to the terms of our AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.). The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate text. AI can occasionally produce incorrect, biased, or theologically inaccurate information. You acknowledge that it is your absolute responsibility to review, verify, and edit all AI-generated content before presenting it to your congregation.
6. Subscription & Billing
Sanctuary offers paid subscription plans. You will be billed in advance on a recurring and periodic basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time; however, there are no refunds for partial months. If your subscription lapses, your Digital Congregation and hosted media will become inaccessible to your app users until the account is brought current.
7. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Sanctuary, nor its directors, employees, partners, or suppliers, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of congregational engagement, or pastoral malpractice claims arising out of your use or inability to use the Service.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes via email or within the Service.
